As someone who deeply cares about our planet and is addicted to the outdoors, I pledged never to use a fuel generator once again…Bluetti 2200…
As energy use is concerned, my outdoor camping journeys and recreational vehicle trips are near-to-zero emissions.
So what do I use?
Since this year, my go-to solar package is the Bluetti AC200P combined with three 200W portable solar panels.
Is it the best one around? It most likely is.
Is it perfect? No, it still has space for improvement but it absolutely sets a requirement that is tough to beat.
Why is everyone in the off-grid community raving about the AC200P?
When the UPS guy unloads the package to your curbside, taking the entire box inside might require some proper deadlifting.
The first thing that concerned my mind was, “Is this their idea of portable?”
A portable power station is rapidly becoming a crucial tool for families and services, especially those who need to venture out or work from another location (think outdoor workers, emergency services etc), bringing the magic of electricity to far-reaching places. Modern-day portable power station can power a small heating system in the depths of winter or an air-conditioning unit in summer’s most popular days.
When looking for one, output power and battery autonomy are the most crucial requirements we try to find while ease of use and the number of outlets are likewise crucial aspects. The capability to charge quickly together with long-life batteries complete the function list of a modern portable power station.
The Bluetti Innovation business, founded in 2016, focuses on all-in-one power storage products. They recently completed a very successful Indiegogo funding for their flagship item, the AC200P, accumulating over $6.7 M throughout the campaign. This is currently deemed the portable power station to beat by the competition thanks to its long function list, massive battery system and AC inverter.
This solar power station is not on the light side. Still, I’m scared no airline company will let you get aboard with this one.
With a bit over 60 lbs, you’ll wish you purchased the trolley (offered individually) if you need to move it around a lot.
When you start unpacking it, it all starts making sense. The Bluetti AC200P is made from tough flame-retardant ABS plastic and aluminum that appears like it can take some pounding.
The diagonal pinstripes on the front program that Mr. Bluetti means business, and the two deals with molded in the frame promise a safe and secure grip.
Kudos for design and durability!!
Out of the box, the AC200P looks like a little travel baggage but at 27.5 Kg, its weight puts it in the heavy product classification. A black plastic finish with diagonal stripes provides a expert and rugged look while 2 handles moulded in the frame help move the portable power station around securely.
air conditioner 300 by blue eddy and the growth b300 batteries that it comes with and over the last month i have actually been running this system every single day so in today’s video we’re going to speak about my experience and what i consider the unit so first of all this is a modular solar power system this unit has a solar charge controller has the inverter and it has the dc outputs but this system does not have a battery you can’t even turn it on there is no internal battery at all so to turn it on you need to connect it to the growth batteries with these growth cable televisions i complained about these cable televisions in my air conditioner 200 max video but i think that these were designed for this system this system is much larger and it in fact looks a lot better when these are connected on the side these are some large expansion batteries guys they have lithium iron phosphate cells so they’re pretty darn heavy but each one can keep 3072 watt hours what’s interesting is each b300 has its own state of charge indication it has a 12 volt output and it has usb ports and it has a primary on and off switch and having these growth batteries enables this main system to have a bigger inverter circuit and a bigger solar charge controller on this main system we have a 3 000 watt inverter and get this this thing can deal with 2 400 watts of solar input it has 2 different mppts and every one can deal with 1200 watts and on previous blue eddy models you had to use this huge power supply to charge it on this one it has an integrated air conditioning battery charger and you just plug in a cable television and you can charge it a max rate of 3000 watts and personally i’ve.
4 big rubber feet support the case and avoid the unit from slipping. Input power sockets exist on the left side while cooling fans are located both on the left and right sides. Front output sockets are protected by rubber flaps that prevent dust particles from entering the case. The flat top can be utilized as a small table and incorporates 2 15W cordless battery chargers.
